Telephony and connectivity
Each site's lines and phone services, the site probe and checks from outside, outages against the SLA, phone system connections, call quality, and call billing from call records to the invoice.
- 1 Telephony and connectivity overview What the Telephony and connectivity module does, how to switch it on, who can use it, where its pages are in the menu and what needs your own phone system account.
- 2 Lines and phone services Record each site's lines and phone services by hand, from a supplier's circuit list or from suggested lines, with backup lines, failover tests, contract dates and copper switch-off dates, and filter the list for what needs a look.
- 3 The site probe and outside checks Choose one device per site to watch its lines from inside, tell a LAN, ISP or internet fault apart, see failover to the backup line, run capped speed tests, and check lines and phone systems from outside.
- 4 Outages, SLA and raising a fault How outages are recorded and given a cause, how each month's availability is set against the contracted SLA, the claim file per line and month, and Raise a fault with the supplier by ticket, email or both.
- 5 Connecting a phone system Connect a customer's own 3CX, Yeastar or Teams Phone account, or watch any other phone system with standard checks: what each needs, where the secret is kept, what the page shows and how call records are collected.
- 6 Call quality The estimated call quality (MOS) for each site worked out from the site probe, how a poor call is set against the line at that moment, the customer's VoIP block, and the thresholds in Settings > Telephony.
- 7 Telephony alerts Every connectivity and phone system alert with its default severity and timing, how to change them per customer, the regional outage alert when one provider fails at several customers, and the Home blocks and TV widgets.
- 8 Call records and sources Bring call records in from uploaded or emailed files, a carrier's SFTP or FTPS server, the push API or a webhook, map the columns with the wizard, route one carrier account's calls to many customers, and fix rows that could not be read.
- 9 The number plan and destination classes How Tenvara reads the numbers in call records, which kinds of call are never billed, your own destination classes and their order, the Try numbers form, and optional national range files.
- 10 Rate cards and bundles Cost cards for what carriers charge you and sell cards or plans for what customers pay, with time bands, connection fees, minimums and increments, price versions from a date, rate file import, the price check, and bundles of inclusive minutes with rollover.
- 11 Call rating The month view of rated calls with charge, cost and margin per customer, calls that cannot be priced and how to fix or wave them through, the carrier cost check, and re-rating with a dry run first.
- 12 Call charges on invoices How rated calls bill on the customer's contract with the invoice run, the line layouts, the itemised call bill as PDF and CSV with optional number masking, late call records, line rentals from supplier contracts, and account codes.
- 13 Call usage and toll-fraud alerts The Call usage page with margin by customer and destination, most-called numbers, bundle use and carrier bills against rated cost, plus alerts for spend over normal, premium and international limits and odd-hours calls.
- 14 The call pop-up The page a phone system or softphone opens with the caller's number, what it shows a technician, logging a ticket from the call, the small window and its keys, and setting it up in Settings > Telephony.
